Refund Policy
Effective August 4, 2026
1. Payment processor
All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles your payment method, receipts, and tax/VAT — ResponsiveMe never sees or stores your full card number.
2. Canceling a subscription
You can cancel anytime from Billing → Manage subscription, which opens Paddle’s secure Customer Portal. Canceling stops future renewals, but you keep full access to your current plan until the end of the period you already paid for — you are not cut off immediately, and canceling does not itself trigger a refund for the current period.
3. Requesting a refund
If you believe you’re entitled to a refund — for example, you were charged in error, or you’re within the first 14 days of a new subscription or one-time purchase and are unsatisfied with the Service — contact us through the contact page with your account email and the reason for the request. We review refund requests case by case and aim to respond within 5 business days.
4. What happens when a refund is approved
Approved refunds are issued through Paddle back to your original payment method. For a subscription, approving a refund also moves your plan back to Free once Paddle confirms the refund. For a one-time “lifetime” purchase, an approved refund removes the lifetime access it granted. Refund processing times depend on your card issuer or payment method and are outside our control once Paddle issues them.
5. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback) instead of contacting us first, your plan will be moved back to Free once Paddle confirms the chargeback — please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly, which is usually faster.
6. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we’ll email you and show a notice in the dashboard so you can update your payment method. We do not immediately cut off access on a single failed payment — Paddle will retry the charge over its normal retry schedule before a subscription is ultimately canceled if payment continues to fail.
7. Non-refundable circumstances
We generally do not issue refunds for: partial billing periods after you’ve had substantial use of a plan, subscriptions canceled after the refund window described in §3, or usage that violated our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service.
8. Contact
Refund requests and billing questions can be submitted through the contact page.
