How AI Credits work

AI Credits are consumed only by AI-generation actions -- writing a response, analyzing a spreadsheet, asking BI Studio a question, generating a document summary, running an AI step inside an automation, and similar actions. The following NEVER consume a credit: - Navigating the product, opening projects, documents, or reports - Using Global Search or the Command Center - Viewing notifications or your activity history - Managing your account, security, or billing settings - A failed or errored AI attempt (you are not charged if the action did not succeed) Your balance has two parts: your plan's period allowance (resets each billing period) and any purchased credits (which are used only after your period allowance runs out, and do not expire while your account stays active). You can see both, plus your recent credit history, on the AI Credits page. You will get a notification at meaningful usage thresholds so you are never surprised by running out.
